Ibrahim Chamseddine has presened a lightning talk and a poster "Optimizing the uptake of targeted therapies in an in silico model of pancreatic tumor".

Jessica Kingsley and Shreya Mathur have presented a poster "Medical imaging-based in silico reconstruction of tumor microenvironment" showing joint results with Sharan Poonja, in collaboration with Natarajan Raghunand (Cancer Physiology) and Marilyn Bui (Microscopy).

 

2019 October 11th, Mr. Luis Sanjuan from University of South Florida has joined our lab as an intern participating in the project "Tumor-iommune interactions in 3D microenvironments".

 

2019 October 4th, the Moffitt Junior Scientist Research Partnership Award "Machine learning to identify successful tumor infiltrating lymphocyte expansion (TIL) in bladder cancer" was granted to Ibrahim Chamseddine (Rejniak lab), Ali Hajiran (Poch lab) and Brittany Bunch (Pilon-Thomas lab). Congrats!!!!

 

2019 September 18-20th, PSON Annual Meeting of Investigators, Minneapolis, MN

Ibrahim has presented a lightning talk and a poster titled: "Deconvolution of microenvironmental and drug effects on tumor growth using in silico organoids"; Kasia has presented a talk "Spatio-temporal changes in tumor and ECM architecture during early ductal invasions". Ibrahim won the People's Choice Award for his poster!!

2019 June 10th, Ms. Priya Bhatt and Mr. Manoj Kambara have joined our lab as summer high school student interns participating in the High School Internship Program HIP @IMO.

 

2019 June 4th, Ms. Shreya Mathur joined our lab as a returning summer intern. She was a HIP participant last year. She will continue working on a project "Optimal schedules of combination therapies with hypoxia-activated pro-drug".

 

2019 May 21st, Mr. Tamas Kis joined our lab as a SPARK intern. He is an undergraduate student at the Vanderbilt University. He will work on a project "Metabolic reprogramming to improve immunotherapy in melanoma".

2019 May 13th, Ms. Jessica Kingsley joined our lab as a research assistant. She is an undergraduate student at the University of South Florida. She will work on modeling of metabolic fluctuations in DCIS.

2019 January 14th, Dr. Ibrahim Chamseddine joined our lab as a postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Chamseddine received his PhD degree from the Engineering Department of the McGill University in Canada. He will work on modeling and optimization of treatment schedules.
