Emilie has presented her first rotation project "Modeling data- and knowledge-driven Gemcitabine-OT1 combination"

 

2024 October 21st, Dr. Hannah Anderson joined our lab as a postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Anderson received her PhD degree from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Florida. She will work on modeling treatment combinations with adoptive cell therapy for bladder cancer.

Prof. Ami Radunskaya of Pomona College was visiting the IMO and our lab, and gave an IMO seminar.

 

2024 September 3rd, Ms. Emilie Favier joined our lab as a graduate student for her first research rotation. Emilie received her MSc degree in Computational and Mathematical Biology from the Aix-Marseille Universite in France.

After 8 weeks of intense research on interdisciplinary projects, the final presentations were given by Eros, Haarika, and Jai.
— Eros' project "Using a Hybrid ABM to Compare CAR T Cell Properties Based on Multiplexed Melanoma Samples" was conducted in collaboration with Guevara lab.
— Haarika's project "Machine Learning Techniques for Handling Missing Data of Bladder Cancer Patients" was done in collaboration with Poch group.
— Jai's project "Modeling Scheduling of TIL Adoptive Cell Therapy Using Histologic Images to Treat Urothelial Carcinoma" was run in collaboration with Pilon-Thomas lab.

 

2024 June 30-July 5th, Annual meeting of the Society for Mathematical Biology (SMB) joined with the Korean Society for Mathematical Biology (KSMB), Seoul, Korea

Podium talk "Investigating cell-stroma physical interactions in DCIS progression with silicoDCIS" was presented by Ana.

May 12th, 2024, a new book chapter "Histology-guided mathematical model of tumor oxygenation: sensitivity analysis of physical and computational parameters" by Maureiq Ojwang, Sarah Bazargan, Joseph Johnson, Shari Pilon-Thomas, and Kasia Rejniak has been acceted to be part of the Springer volume "Proceedings of 2022 AWM Research Symposium" from the Springer "Association for Women in Mathematics Series."
